i'm tori campbell. the wildfire near yosemite is burning out of control in the stanislaus national forest and has grown significantly overnight and is still threatening thousands of homes. we begin with ken wayne at the command post who just spoke to fire officials. >> reporter: we're at the command post where the firefighting effort is being coordinated. it's like a small city. dozens of vehicles, all kinds of support equipment. what you can't see on camera are tiny flakes falling from the sky. there are ashes, it's like small snowflakes falling from the fire burning all around this camp. here are the latest numbers -- the fire has burned 16,228 acres. it's just 5% contained. there are two c-130s fighting this fire and helicopters and other tankers trying to put this fire out. 858 firefighters are on scene. that's about 50 more than yesterday. there has been some concern about the resources available to fight this fire because there are a number of other fires burning in california and across the west.
